Von Ray Wilson Obituary

Von Ray Wilson was born on January 20, 1963 to Isaiah Wilson and Thelma Woodson Wilson in Phillips County, Arkansas.

He attended Marvell, Arkansas School Systems as a child. He later attended college at Ole Miss in Oxford, Mississippi and at Arizona State University in Phoenix, Arizona.

Von lived in Mesa, Arizona until his death in August 2021.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother: Isaiah Wilson and Thelma Woodson Wilson; his grandparents: Jessie and Peal Woodson; his sister: Vera Wilson; and his nephew: Antonio Wilson.

Von is survived by two (2) brothers: Jerry (Katie) Hollins of Nashville, Tennessee; and Rodney Wilson of Fort Worth, Texas; two (2) sisters: Audrey Wilson of Fort Worth, Texas; and Brenda Wilson of Fort Worth, Texas; one (1) uncle: Aubrey (Mary) Woodson of Waukegan, Illinois; three (3) aunts: Gloria Wilson of Chicago, Illinois; Revertis Gist of Marvell, Arkansas; and Vanette Bankston of Little Rock, Arkansas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
