Theodore Davis began his journey of life on January 4, 1954 in Turner, Arkansas as the son of Olivia Fason Davis and Adolph Davis, Sr. On Friday, September 16, 2022, he was obedient to the call and transitioned peacefully at Helena Regional Medical Center in Helena, Arkansas.
Theodore accepted Christ as his personal Savior at a young age at Branch Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Colbert. He attended Marvell High School and moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1972. He became an employee of Plastic Fiber before returning to Arkansas in 2002.
Upon his return to Arkansas, Theodore reinstated his membership with Branch Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Dr. L.C. Wright. He was a dedicated and faithful member until his health failed. He truly loved his church family and always spoke so fondly of his pastor and 1st lady.
Born Theodore, but became known as “Thedo,” “Bear,” “Honey,” and “Paw-Paw” over the years. He was a loving son, brother, father, and a true friend to many. He had a quiet disposition with a very caring and giving spirit. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His favorite pastimes included listening to music, watching westerns, wrestling, and watching and sharing the daily news with anyone who would listen. However, the thing that motivated him the most was being the greatest “paw-paw” to his grandchildren who he affectionately referred to as KY, JO, and Doll.
Theodore was predeceased by his parents: Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Davis, Sr.; his brothers: Leroy Davis, Adolph Davis, Jr., James Willie Davis, and Theodis Davis.
