Louwanda Thomas was born April 12, 1962 to the late Wallace Thomas and Essie Mae Allen. Louwanda departed this life November 30, 2022 at Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
Louwanda accepted Christ at an early age. She spent her latter days as a member of the St. Matthew Baptist Church in Marvell, Arkansas. Wanda, as she was affectionately called, loved her family and friends deeply. Wanda had a heart of gold, and her love was felt by many.
Wanda was a graduate of the Marvell High School; Class of 1980. She also held a Child Development Association Certification (CDA) in Child Development. Wanda worked for over twenty years serving the Marvell community at the Boys, Girls, Adults Community Development Center (BGACDC). She was a tax preparer, grant writer, and worked at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences (UAMS) as an Administrative Assistant.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents: Wallace Thomas and Essie Mae Allen; her grandmother who raised her from the age of six: Lenora “Sophie” Bennett Wilborn; her son: Darrell Robinson; her grandparents: Clay Allen and Bennie and Lullaby Thomas; and one (1) niece: Robyn Danyel Murrel.
Wanda leaves to cherish her memory her son: Tyneil (Fiera) Thomas of West Helena, Arkansas; her daughter: Fantasia (Terry) Bledsoe of Marvell, Arkansas; her son: Jessie (Dominique) Thomas of Marvell, Arkansas; two (2) sisters: Janice Murrel of West Helena, Arkansas; and Sherine Murrel of West Des Moines, Iowa; one (1) brother: Christopher Allen; three (3) nephews: Kendrick Robinson; Markeese Murrel; and Terry Murrel; two (2) nieces: Shaterria Murrel; and Markela Murrel; three (3) aunts and one (1) uncle whom she was raised with: Carlotta Smith; Mcsery (Buffren) McCree; Oretha (Johnny) Bonds; and Elton (Janice) Farr; her stepmother: Marvella Thomas; her stepfather: Paul Murrel; seventeen (17) grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and extended family and friends. Wanda will be missed but never forgotten.
