Kenneth Bones, affectionately known as Kenny, was born on October 22, 1959 to Arlene Bones and Clemmie Lee Wilson in Holly Grove, Arkansas. Both parents preceded him in death.
Kenny's life was filled with love from day one, being raised in a loving home. He was educated in the Holly Grove School System where he graduated in 1977, receiving his High School Diploma. His love for God started at a young age, as he was baptized at Norman Chapel CME Church. He remained a faithful servant of the Lord throughout his life.
God bestowed many blessings upon Kenny during his journey. His greatest blessing was the birth of his son, Bronson Kendrae, who was born on September 28, 1986. They had an amazing Father and Son bond and were the best of friends.
His blessings continued to flow when he met and married the late Eylorna Roaf-Bones on May 06, 2002. With this union, he was blessed with two (2) bonus daughters, Marika and Kyler, who he called, “His Girls.”
Since childhood, Kenny had a natural talent for construction, repairing items and working on machinery. He was an extremely hard worker and well respected on every job. After high school, he worked for years at Producers Rice Mill in Stuttgart, Arkansas. He was a member of one of the largest families that ever worked there, The Bones Family. After Producers, he transitioned to Union Pacific and B & P Enterprises upon relocating to White Hall, Arkansas. His expertise as an experienced Machine Operator made him a vital asset to the company.
Kenny was known and well loved by many for his humbleness and being one of the coolest people you would ever meet. His smile, laid-back style, and selflessness always made you feel comfortable in his presence. He was the first to volunteer to barbecue at the family cookouts, where everyone loved his food - especially his smoked brisket and turkey tails.
Kenny was a man of many nicknames because of smoothness, sense of humor, and love for cars; Babyface, Whitlock, and Fred being a few. No one ever uttered a bad word about Kenny Bones.
Kenny had an agape love. According to one of his uncles, the world needed more Kenny Bones', and it would be a better place.
Kenny's eternal journey began on Thursday, February 15, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife: Eylorna Roaf-Bones; his parents: Arlene Bones and Clemmie Lee Wilson; and three (3) brothers: Clemmie Lee, Jr., Aaron Charles, and LaShaun Wilson.
Kenny is survived by his only son: Bronson Humphrey of Stuttgart, Arkansas; his step-daughters: Marika (Christopher) Curengton of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Kyler (Byron) Smith of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; six (6) grandchildren: Chantlor, Jordan, Mesiyah, Aidyn, Bryson and Jeffrey; five sisters: Wanda Lowe Thomas of Dolton, Illinois; Cynthia (Charles) Artis of Holly Grove, Arkansas; Joyce (Lawrence) McCullough of North Little Rock, Arkansas; Ethel Ross of Kenner, Louisiana; and Sandra (Lee James) Sims of Brinkley, Arkansas; four (4) brothers: Eric Lowe of Holly Grove, Arkansas; Rickey (Daisy) Bones of Holly Grove, Arkansas; Steve (Turra) Wilson of South Holland, Illinois; and Dennis (Uyolanda) Wilson of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; three (3) special cousins: Charles Bones; DeNeal Bones; and Kevin Wayne Scott; his mother-in-law: Beverly (Charles) Roaf-Howard of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; his bonus sister: Sonya Roaf of White Hall, Arkansas; his bonus brother: Scott Roaf of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is also survived by a very special friend: Gaynel Wilson.
Kenny will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His love, laughter, side jokes, and overall presence may be physically removed, but we know to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord (II Corinthians 5:8). His memory will live on through everyone he met.
