Irene Rodgers Wilson, 72 years old of Marvell, Arkansas, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 10, 2022. She was born on April 01, 1950 in Marvell, Arkansas to John J. Rodgers and Rosie Lee Hill.
Irene was a long time member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Coffee Creek under the leadership of Reverend E.W. Williams. She graduated from Marvell High School and attended Phillips County Community College.
Irene loved fishing, cooking, and working in the garden.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents: John J. Rodgers and Rosie Lee Hill; her grandparents: Richard Hill and Gerture Morris Hill; two (2) sisters: Dorothy Jean Rodgers and Alzeda Rodgers; three (3) nephews: Marvin Nunn, Jr., Michael Rodgers, and Pedro Herman Ford; two (2) aunts: Nadine Griffin and Jeanette Smith; and two (2) uncles: Richard Hill and Willie Smith.
Irene’s memory will live in the hearts of her siblings: Willie (Jennesaret) Rodgers; Brenda Rodgers; Linda (David) Cox; John Rodgers, Jr.; Jeanette (Wester, Jr.) Purley; and Denise (Tony) Stocker; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
