Gilda Ann Banks

Gilda Ann Banks was born on May 05, 1962 to the late Luvenea Banks in Marvell, Arkansas.

She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Reverend R.D. McCoy and became a member of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Marvell, Arkansas.

Gilda graduated from Marvell High School in Marvell, Arkansas in 1985.

In her relaxing time, Gilda loved to cook, watch cooking channels and Lifetime, dancing, and spending time with her family.

She later became a member of the Apostolic Life Center Church in Marvell, Arkansas under the leadership of Pastor Sarah Jackson.

After living in Marvell, Arkansas for over fifty (50) years, Gilda moved to Dallas, Texas with her cousin, Shiree.  She then became a faithful member of Abundance of Life in Christ under the leadership of Pastor Kinchen until her declining health.

Gilda transitioned from earth on June 07, 2023 at the Presbyterian Hospital in Allen, Texas at the age of sixty-one (61).

She is preceded in death by her mother:  Luvenea Banks; her paternal and maternal grandparents:  Isiah and Irene Banks; eight (8) aunts; three (3) uncles; and three (3) cousins.

Gilda leaves to cherish her memories:  one (1) special aunt:  Earnestine Williams of Marvell, Arkansas; her extended family:  Avis (Larry) Manuel of Allen, Texas; Kenneth Richardson of Allen, Texas; Keosha Richardson of Allen, Texas; Shumond Lyday of Allen, Texas; her fun and loving dog:  Hennessy Manuel; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
