George Ferguson Obituary
George “Bro” Ferguson was born on June 10, 1954 in Helena, Arkansas to the late A.J. Ferguson and Fannie Ferguson. He was converted at an early age and baptized.
George enlisted in the Army at the age of nineteen (19).
George is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Cora Woods and Reverend Richard Deadmon; his parents: A.J. Ferguson and Fannie Ferguson; and his siblings: Herbert Bates, Raliegh Bates, Dorether Dennis, Ethel Bates, Manerva Banks, Minnie Bates, Sidney Ferguson, and Andrew Ferguson.
George leaves to cherish his memories one (1) daughter: Georganna (Oluwafemi) Akinyemi of Cleveland, Ohio; five (5) grandchildren: Aari’on Witt, Nyla Grim, Giana Grim, Marvin Grim, and Trenton Grim; three (3) sisters: Willie Mae Bailey of West Helena, Arkansas; Patricia (John) Ivory of West Helena, Arkansas; and Cora Brown of Tyler, Texas; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
