Eylorna Marie Roaf-Bones

Eylorna Marie Roaf-Bones was born August 30, 1966 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to the late Dr. Sterling Roaf, Sr. and Beverly Roaf Howard.

She received her education at Pine Bluff High School in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.  She graduated from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in 1990 and obtained a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Early Childhood Development.

Eylorna confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized by C.W. Alexander, Sr.  She became a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in DeValls Bluff, Arkansas where she remained a faithful member until her passing.

Eylorna was united in Holy Matrimony to Kenneth Bones on May 06, 2002.

Throughout her lifetime, Eylorna was involved in many things.  In her spare time, she loved to do many arts and crafts, interior designing, and anything she could personalize.  She loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends.  Eylorna worked for the Arkansas Department of Human Services for twenty-seven (27) years where she touched the lives of many people, children, and communities in Central Arkansas.

Eylorna was a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.  She was initiated in the Alpha Rho Chapter of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; Fall 1986; Naughty Nineteen, and after graduation transitioned to the Delta Omega Omega Chapter of Pine Bluff, Arkansas.  She participated in many food and school drives for children and many activities in the community.  She was the exceptional example of service to all mankind.

Eylorna transitioned from mortal to immortality on Sunday morning, November 28, 2021 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas at her mother’s home at the age 55.

She was preceded in death by her father:  Dr. Sterling Roaf, Sr.; her paternal grandparents:  Reverend Arthur and Charlotte Roaf; her maternal grandparents:  Louis Carl and Ellene Holloway; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Eylorna leaves to mourn her passing, but cherish her memories her husband:  Kenneth Bones of White Hall, Arkansas; two (2) daughters:  Marika (Christopher) Curengton of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; and Kyler Smith of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; her grandson:  Jeffrey Wallace, III of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; her mother:  Beverly (Charles) Howard of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; seven (7) siblings:  Steven Roaf of Dallas, Texas; Sonya Roaf of White Hall, Arkansas; Sterling (Vanessa) Roaf, Jr.; Shayna (TK) Smith of Atlanta, Georgia; Scott Roaf of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; Sessily (Stephen) Williams of Sherwood, Arkansas; and Sterling Roaf of Kansas City, Kansas; her step-sister:  Brittany Howard of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
