Dorothy Melanie Holmes was born on April 28, 1981 in Seattle, Washington to Almond Holmes and Rosa Weems.
She accepted Christ at an early age and united with St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church in Postelle, Arkansas.
Dorothy graduated from Marvell High School in Marvell, Arkansas; Class of 2000. She furthered her education and later graduated from the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) in Conway, Arkansas; Class of 2008.
Dorothy passed from this earthly life on Monday, November 14, 2022 at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Conway, Arkansas at the young age of 41.
She was preceded in death by her father: Almond Holmes; her mother: Rosa Weems; her son: T’mone Hill; two (2) sisters: Shawn Griffin and Heather McNair; her brother: Tory Holmes; her grandmother: Dorothy Williams; and her grandfathers: Clarence Armstrong and Sheldon Williams.
Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories her son: Mark English, Jr. of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one (1) brother: Kevin Griffin of Seattle, Washington; one (1) sister: Rachel (John) Williams of Seattle, Washington; two (2) grandchildren: Stori English of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and Harley English of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two (2) uncles: Clarence (Charlene) Armstong; and Morman (Linda) Armstrong; six (6) nephews: Derrick Phillips, Jr.; Sean Phillips; Antoine Jackson; Tory Holmes, Jr.; De’Andre Coleman; and Cortez Griffin; three (3) nieces: Cotessia Mitchell; Lynaisia Gilliam; and Rheagan Booth; two (2) great-nieces: Makayla Cox; and Stevie Mitchell; three (3) great-nephews: Louis Mitchell; Kevin Mitchell; and Ethan Mitchell; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
