Carolyn Ann Clash was born on March 31, 1963 in Elaine, Arkansas to Willie Clash, Sr. and Mercie Knox Clash.
She received her education at Elaine High School in Elaine, Arkansas.
Carolyn accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She was a member of First Baptist Church-Midland Heights in Helena, Arkansas where she was very active in the church. Carolyn sang in the choir under the pastorage of Reverend Cedric Pride and Reverend L.T. Mapp. She was also in a singing group known as the Gospel Highlights.
She loved eating, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
Carolyn departed this life on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Regional One Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Willie Clash, Sr. and Mercie Knox Clash; and one (1) sister: Nancy Clash Lidell.
Carolyn leaves to mourn her passing, but to cherish her memories one (1) son: LaMarcus Clash of Sacramento, California; three (3) daughters: Towanna (Breon) Johnson-Ross of Helena, Arkansas; Takeila (Cornell) Johnson-Washington of El Paso, Texas; and Theresa (James) Clash-Seldon of Bartlett, Tennessee; two (2) sisters: Shirley (Anthony) Clash-Austin of Chicago, Illinois; and Linda Clash of Conway, Arkansas; four (4) brothers: Robert Clash of Elaine, Arkansas; Willie Clash of West Memphis, Arkansas; Roy Lee (Sandra) Clash of Lexa, Arkansas; and Freddie (Linda) Clash of Clarksdale, Mississippi; one (1) brother-in-law: Christopher Lidell of Springfield, Illinois; eight (8) grandchildren: Mericia Anderson; Trevon Washington; D’Vontae Murrill; Samyiah Washington; Cariyanna Voss; Diamuntay Washington; Brion Ross; and Mercy Seldon; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
