Bobbie Jean Morrow Obituary

Bobbie Jean Morrow, affectionally known as Ma, Mama, Bobbie, Bobbie Jean, Bob, Lilly, B-Jean, Aunt Bobbie, was born on August 06, 1953 in Marvell, Arkansas.  She was the second child born to the late Robert Davis and Arvesta Hull Davis.

She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Corinth Missionary Baptist Church.  She later moved her membership to Wesley Chapel AME Church in Marvell, Arkansas where she remained a faithful member and served as Head Usher.  Her love for God was displayed in her sweet, nurturing spirit.  She read the Bible, listened to her favorite gospel music, and would sing hymns of praise.  Bobbie was quiet, sweet, humble, and very slow to anger.

In 1973, she graduated from Marvell High School.  She was united in Holy Matrimony to Waymon Lee Morrow on September 29, 1974 and unto this union, a daughter was born.  She also attended Phillips County Community College in Helena, Arkansas.  Bobbie was employed by Central High School in Helena, Arkansas as a Community Based Instruction Aide until her health began to fail in 2007.

Finally, she was reunited with the love of her life, Waymon Lee Morrow.  She was also preceded in death by her parents:  Robert and Arvesta Hull Davis; her sisters:  Curistine Davis; Earnestine Lawson; and Billie Golden; and her aunt:  Lucille Walker.

All of her loving care will be remembered by her loving daughter:  Mattie Morrow of North Little Rock, Arkansas; her grandson and life’s joy:  Rhadrevian Morrow of North Little Rock, Arkansas; two (2) brothers:  Leroy (Shirley) Walker of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; and Robert Davis, Jr. of Marvell, Arkansas; one (1) aunt:  Clara Snell of Madison, Alabama; two (2) sisters-in-law:  Lois Morrow of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; and Alice Morrow of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; one (1) brother-in-law:  Sylvester Young, Sr. of Turner, Arkansas; two (2) special friends:  Bertha Cox of Marvell, Arkansas; and Mildred English of Marvell, Arkansas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
